CREATIVE DIRECTION @ CUT FRUIT COLLECTIVE

CUT FRUIT COLLECTIVE

Cut Fruit Collective is a San Francisco Bay Area AAPI community arts org that I co-founded alongside an amazing team. Since March 2020, we’ve raised $100K+ for Bay Area AAPI and immigrant communities during the pandemic. As the current Creative Director, I created the full brand guide and provide creative leadership to the org. I also do a fair bit of designing! This page focuses on my work with design and branding, to read more about fundraising and organizing campaigns I’ve worked on, click here.

To launch our org, the very talented Linh-Yen Hoang created a brand color palette, logo, and a few fruit graphics. She also identified the type faces we use. From this starting point, I fleshed out our brand visuals and identity. As a highly visual and arts driven org, having a cohesive aesthetic is very much an organizational focus.

Cut Fruit Collective is joyful, bold, and unapologetically AAPI.

Our Instagram feed is our main way of connecting and educating our audience. I design about 75% of the posts on our feed. Just a few examples below!

We have many design-based projects, such as an AAPI Small Businesses Map and a Lunar New Year Box (all graphics designed by me)
